Ferrari ECM Service

HP Tuners is thrilled to offer custom tuning capabilities for the select Ferrari models, including the F8, 812, and 488. The ECM found in these models requires this upgrade service in order to tune and diagnose the ECM using VCM Suite software. After upgrading, we’ll ship the ECM back to you and you’ll have full access to calibrate and write/flash via the OBDII port using VCM Editor.

Supported models that require this service:

• 2017-2023 Ferrari 812 6.5L V12 (MED17.3.5 FX ECM)
• 2017-2023 Ferrari 488 3.9L TT V8 (MED17.3.5 ECM) 
• 2020-2023 Ferrari F8 3.9L TT V8 (MED17.3.5 ECM)

Everything you need to tune your supported Ferrari with HP Tuners: 

1. 1. This one-time, send-in Ferrari ECM Service to upgrade the ECM for tuning and diagnostics.
   2. Purchase an MPVI4 device. These models are only compatible with the MPVI4 generation device.
   3. Download the latest version of VCM Suite BETA for free here.
   4. Once upgraded, purchase (30) Universal Credits to license your model.

Note: Universal Credits for licensing are not included in the cost of any upgrade service or purchase. Credits must be purchased separately.

Print Shipping Form

Step 1: Once you’ve confirmed your vehicle’s support, purchase the upgrade service.

Step 2: After placing your order with the necessary information, see the “Shipping” tab for a shipping form and address. Fill out and print this form to place in your shipping box. You will also receive an email immediately after placing your order with this shipping form and address.

Step 3: If you are sending in your stock ECM, remove the ECM from your vehicle. Then, package the ECM safely with the shipping form inside the box.

Step 4: Write your order number on the outside of the shipping box.

Step 5: Ship your ECM to HP Tuners Australia for servicing using any carrier you prefer. The shipping address can be found on this page and in the email discussed in Step 2. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

Step 6: HP Tuners will upgrade your ECM for tuning. Then, we’ll ship it back to you.

Step 7: Once you receive your upgraded ECM, install it back into your vehicle. Then, license the upgraded ECM to your MPVI4 device by purchasing (30) Universal Credits. Once licensed, start tuning with your MPVI4 interface and the latest version of VCM Suite BETA.

Please allow 2-4 business days (plus the time to ship the ECM) per ECM that you send in for the upgrade process to finish (i.e., 2 PCMs = 4-8 business days).

• Your upgraded Ferrari ECM can only be tuned via the OBDII port with an MPVI4 interface and the latest version of VCM Suite.
• Once the upgrade is complete, users must license their ECM for (30) Universal Credits (sold separately).
• No aftermarket tuning or calibration tools can be used with the ECM. However, dealer tools will continue to be supported.
• VCM Scanner, dealer diagnostic, and other diagnostic tools will continue to function normally.
• The latest version of VCM Suite can be used to return to stock calibration and/or update to the latest stock calibration. However, the user must have the stock calibration.
• Please allow up to 7 business days for this upgrade service, not including shipping times.
