Inside the 2025 VCM Performance USA Tour

The 2025 USA tour was more than meetings and factory walkthroughs. For a small Australian company in a fast growing global industry, it was a rare chance to reconnect with long term partners, see new technology up close and understand what is coming next for performance enthusiasts here and abroad. What we found was a mix of world class engineering, deep partnerships and a clear look at the future of tuning and performance.

Visiting Our Key Partners

Our trip began with the suppliers, some of whom have shaped our journey for more than a decade. Each visit gave us a deeper appreciation for the engineering, discipline and innovation behind the products our customers trust.

Magnuson Superchargers

Magnuson was the first stop and it set the tone for the entire tour.

Everything is done in-house. Every component has a purpose. Every process has its own QC checkpoint. Highlights included full machining capability, casting equipment, serialised superchargers with birth certificates and dedicated dyno rooms where every blower is tested for leaks and efficiency.

We have been Magnuson’s exclusive Australian partner for more than 15 years. We always knew they were world class but seeing their operation in person took it further. The precision and care put into every unit explain why Magnuson kits have a reputation for reliability and repeatable performance. This visit strengthened our trust and alignment for the next chapter.

K&N Engineering

The next stop was K&N and the scale alone was impressive. Their approach blends engineering discipline with rapid innovation.

We toured pressure testing rooms, flow benches, automated machinery and dedicated HVAC-controlled environments. Their 3D printing capability and prototype labs showed how quickly they develop and refine new products.

Every filter is engineered with scientific accuracy and that consistency carries through to their global production. Seeing the operation firsthand gave us a clearer view of their technology pipeline and strengthened our APAC alignment going forward.

DeatschWerks (DW)

DW is a long-standing technical partner and the visit highlighted how collaborative the relationship is. Their engineering detail is exceptional. From fuel system components to calibration processes, there is a sense of precision that matches our own internal standards.

The time spent with DW gave us new insight into upcoming developments and strengthened the technical foundation between our teams.

SEMA Recap

Once the supplier visits wrapped up, we headed into SEMA. It was the perfect way to round out the trip.

SEMA is always a reality check in the best way. The scale is huge. The energy is constant. The innovation is everywhere. It reminded us how fast this industry is moving and how global the aftermarket community has become.

A few standout moments:

  • Taking the Tesla tunnels and seeing how wild Las Vegas transport has become

  • Reconnecting with suppliers we first met back in 2013

  • Watching Christian take out the HP Tuners trophy in a friendly rivalry that dates back years

  • Being there live for the YumCars US launch

  • Seeing product categories grow faster than ever and customers demanding smarter, cleaner solutions

SEMA confirmed that the aftermarket is not slowing down. The pace of innovation is increasing and Australian-style builds are gaining global attention.

Industry Insights From the Tour

Across all suppliers and every meeting, a few clear themes emerged.

  • The aftermarket is growing fast
  • Technology cycles are shortening
  • Software is becoming as important as hardware
  • Quality is winning long-term
  • Australian performance trends are being recognised globally
  • Customers want better support and smarter tools

VCM sits in a strong position. We are still nimble enough to move quickly but established enough to operate at a global standard. This trip reinforced that balance.

What This Means for VCM Performance

The USA tour strengthened long-term partnerships across all pillars of our business. It opened new doors. It confirmed that VCM products and expertise are aligned with global demand and innovation cycles.

For our customers and partners, this means:

  • Stronger supply chains
  • Better access to new products
  • Deeper technical knowledge
  • Improved development pathways
  • Closer alignment with US engineering standards

It also reminded us that maintaining high quality is a non-negotiable part of serving the performance community.

The Human Side of the Trip

Trips like this bring the team together. Long travel days. Early mornings. Factory floors. Late-night debriefs. These moments build clarity and momentum in ways that email cannot. They strengthen culture. They solidify direction. They keep the mission sharp.

What Comes Next

The USA tour reminded us that the performance industry is changing quickly and that Australia plays a bigger role in it than many expect. We came home with new ideas, stronger relationships and a clear view of what is ahead. There is plenty coming in 2025 and we are excited to bring that progress home to the Australian performance community.
